The opportunity:

This position will be responsible for Asset Manager tool implementation/upgrade, integration, enhancement and administration in support of ITAM and SAM processes and continual service improvement initiatives. This role focuses primarily on Asset Manager tool support and requires collaboration with cross functional teams to define the capabilities and solutions while ensuring that outcomes comply with the enterprise architectural vision, quality, and security standards of OpenText. They will help define how capabilities can/should be built and will support timely delivery of those capabilities and solutions including participating in planning and requirement sessions with business owners and product managers to ensure greatest value for our customers and alignment with overall business strategy.

You are great at:

• Interact with Business representatives to ensure their requirements are being met within the framework of the tools available
• Develop solutions that align to business requirements while meeting time and cost constraints
• Provide 3rd level expertise to our end users
• Participate in production deployments and occasional support
• Adhere to IT Change Management and other ITIL best practices

What it takes:

• A Bachelor’s degree, College diploma or equivalent experience
• Ideal candidates will hold or be in the process of obtaining a certification in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM) and/or ITIL v3/v4 Foundations Certification
• Software Asset Manager application and integration development experience
• Asset Manager Administrative experience and ability to facilitate critical technical analysis/resolution
• Very comfortable working with the infrastructure and DB’s associated with running Asset Manager (e.g., understands, at a detailed level, the architectural dependencies of technologies in use)
• Experience with Windows server configuration
• Experience with Oracle Databases
• General programming background in areas such as SQL and development language skills (e.g., JavaScript, Java, .NET, PERL, Python, PHP, PowerShell, etc.)
• Ability to work with users at all levels to define system requirements, design and system topologies to meet operational needs and system performance objectives
• Working knowledge of other relevant ITIL/ITSM/ITAM software packages (e.g., uCMDB, Service Manager, ServiceNow, OCS Inventory NG and GPLI would be preferred)
• Excellent communicator and collaborator, capable of working independently with limited supervision based on established processes
• Ability to quickly learn new technology
• Ability to conduct solutions evaluation, engineering, development, integration, testing, release and supporting documentation
• Capable of working on multiple projects, resolve conflicting requests, and adapting to changing requirements and priorities
