The Capture Group of OpenText Enterprise Content Management platforms division develops software for capturing information stored on paper. This includes processing such paper-based documents as invoices, insurance contracts, structured forms and others.
Captiva also develops a wide range of tools and technologies that enable capture of information. The widely known ISIS standard for scanner drivers is owned and maintained by Captiva, and Captiva develops and certifies drivers for most industrial-strength scanners, such as Canon, Kodak, Fujitsu, Panasonic and Ricoh.
The bulk of Captiva efforts is dedicated to developing image-capturing solutions, e.g. CaptIva Capture. This is industrial-strength client-server applications, serving the capturing needs of big corporate clients, like Bank of America and Wall-Mart and etc.
The St. Petersburg development group is actively engaged in all of the products mentioned above in cooperation with US-based teams.
As a Software Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in the continuing success of OpenText Capture solutions.
You are great at:
Conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyzes to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.
Assignments include planning test and diagnostic programs, designing test fixtures and equipment, conducting tests, completing specifications and procedures for products, and documenting results of tests.
Ensures that system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved.
Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
Performs execution of software quality methods and processes.
Selects testing specifications for new products and ensures testing procedures are in compliance with industry specific standards.
What it takes:
• Good understanding of QA methodology and Product Development Life Cycle;
• Experience in automation and manual testing;
• Experience in testing of Desktop applications;
• Knowledge of bug tracking systems:
• Communication skills, good English;
• Possesses strong technology/industry knowledge;
• Ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions and Test reports;
• Problem solving skills;
• Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments.
