The opportunity:

The Vice President, Indirect Sales is responsible for developing, driving and leading existing and new business opportunities for our OEM and Corporate Accounts / Inside Sales organization. This person will support prospective and existing OEM partners and will also have responsibilities for developing and leading the inside sales organization that supports our mid-market corporate accounts. Successful candidates will bring a strong functional skill base, a track record of delivering results, and good interpersonal and organizational skill sets.
The Vice President, Indirect Sales will lead a global organization in developing and managing a world-class partner driven OEM and inside sales corporate account program to drive incremental revenue. This position involves defining the OEM partner program for reseller partners, strategic alliances, business consulting partners, sales engagement models and operationalizing the program for tracking and compliance. The ideal candidate will be strategic and hands on, requiring a high energy and detailed-oriented individual that has successfully built and grown successful high-performance sales organizations supporting both direct and indirect sales channels. This leader will be responsible for defining and executing the sales strategy, business plan and revenue execution of our global OEM & Corporate Account sales organization that includes cultivating relationships with both partner and customer relationships, develop net new log acquisition strategies and developing new partner supported sales channels enhancing existing inside sales programs both on a direct and indirect sale basis.

You are great at:

• Develop strategies to maximize the portfolio of OpenText technology
• Create a candid, trusting, partnership-oriented relationship with partners
• Oversees senior sales personnel and has indirect sales people in his/her organization
• Identify channel OEM business within across all business units to develop and execute go-to-market programs to drive incremental revenue
• Provide marketing and trade show support where needed
• Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate account development goals for the mid-market leveraging a partner ecosystem
• Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales
• Direct channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas and goals

What it takes:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years sales experience
• 5+ years developing OEM business
• Experience building business relationships with executive level and channel
• partners contacts
• Has experience in running inside sales operations that sell both direct and via
partner channels
• Strong understanding of what partners need to be successful
