The opportunity:

The Senior Customer Event Program Manager is a key-member of the Customer Marketing team and will drive the program development of our Enterprise World events – OpenText’s premier customer conferences in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. This role will report to the Director of Customer Marketing. The primary responsibility is to develop event programs and experiences that delight customers and ensure they keep coming back to Enterprise World year after year. Through data analysis and critical metric development, this role will guide the strategy and concepts that will drive growth for OpenText user conferences. You will work with stakeholders to define desired goals and outcomes and develop those into “must-attend” event attributes to achieve the objectives of the business.

You are great at:

• Develop the program strategy and orchestrate cross-functional team
collaboration to drive growth, profitability and customer retention for
Enterprise Worlds
• Create the most compelling attendee-driven conference agenda based on
business goals and objectives
• Develop and execute key program metrics that both measure and drive the
success and opportunities for improvement for the event
• Be the central customer program leader for OpenText’s three regional
customer user conferences
• Manage program development and cross-functional alignment from beginning
to end. Outline objectives, resources, budget and timing
• Develop a conference agenda that increases customer registration, retention
and drives results
• Drive research to understand customer needs, wants and behaviors
• Through data and analysis make recommendations for an event format that
keep the customer front and center

What it takes:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5-7+ years’ experience in conference content strategy, development and
creation
• Experience with large, complex multi-day/multi-track conference programs
• Proven ability to drive overall direction and development of conference
programs, specifically content strategy and creation, agenda development and
speaker selection
• Proven track record in crating and executing strategy and identifying growth
opportunities
• The ability to use and analyze data to make decisions
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment,
including cross functionally and with executives
• Excellent written and oral communications and the ability to influence
