The opportunity:

The Revenue Recognition Team is seeking a Manager to support world-wide revenue recognition activities to ensure that all internal and external reporting commitments are met in a timely manner. This role will collaborate with various cross-functional teams including Shared Services, Sales, and IT to ensure consistent application of rev rec policy.

You are great at:

• Read, document and analyze material customer agreements to apply revenue recognition policy
• Review and approve POC revenue on professional services engagements
• Maintain detailed/accurate deferred revenue schedules for assigned entities/regions
• Development/ preparation of monthly revenue reporting package to provide revenue assurance for assigned entity for timely distribution to leadership
• Partner with Billing Operations and Finance teams to research and resolve revenue fluctuations
• Participate in system migration activities
• Prepare and/or review GL account reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statement disclosures
• Facilitate SOX and statutory testing as needed
• Prepare materials for internal and external audit requirements and respond to audit inquiries
• Ad hoc projects and analysis to answer business questions and opportunities

What it takes:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in finance and/or accounting
• Experience with Revenue Recognition including application of technical accounting guidance is strongly desired
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, and internal control principles, with strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Desire to continually strive for ongoing process and systems improvements to better support all critical functional groups
• Relevant industry experience preferred
• Excellent Excel skills
• Experience with SAP, Netsuite’s OpenAir product are preferred
• Prior management experience
• Team player with good interpersonal skills
• Proactive approach to problem solving
• Strong work ethic and follow-through
• Detail oriented
