The OpenText Professional Services team is comprised of more than 3,000 consultants who act as trusted advisors, managing long-lasting relationships with more than 100,000 customers around the world. They are responsible for the delivery of business solutions from pre-sales to post implementation. Our teams of experts help organizations solve issues, create value, improve business performance, and work more effectively in an increasingly digital world.

As an OpenText consultant, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and you will be recognized as a subject matter expert within the Enterprise Information Management space. You will be supported with training on our solutions, the ability to receive relevant certifications and opportunities for advancement. Our experts also frequently have the opportunity to take part in international assignments. From supporting your customer with the implementation of systems and optimization of our products, to conducting workshops to gather technical / functional requirements.

As a Technical Consultant for OpenText software, you will be assuming the implementation of solutions based on our products and advising clients on our technologies by providing guidance to make them sure they are using our products in the most efficient way.

You are great at:

Gathering and analyzing customers’ needs
Designing IT solutions
Developing and implementing customized approaches both functional and technical
Taking responsibility for configuring, implementing and testing IT solutions for customers
Conducting troubleshooting and being part of tasks forces to tackle issues (performances, bugs,…)
Maintaining and sharing expertise through self-education, participation in forums, conferences and discussions, ...
Working effectively as part of a project team

What it takes:

Self-motivating, customer facing, committed and self-managing person with 2 or more years of experience in implementing and supporting IT Solutions
Knowledge and experience in some of these areas (note that we do not expect knowledge in all these areas):
JAVA J2EE, Javascript (including frameworks as GWT, AngularJS, JQuery), XML/XSLT, Webservices SOAP/REST, …
Oracle, MS SQLServer, PostGreSQL, SQL language, …
MS Windows Server, Linux (RedHat / CentOS), VMWare, Docker/Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, …
Any knowledge/experience in ECM Solutions (DCTM, Opentext, MS SharePoint, Alfresco, NUXEO, VEEVA, IBM Filenet, M-Files,…) will be considered as a plus
Deep level of understanding of IT concepts (e.g. client server, protocols, …)
Experience in project delivery for final customers
Good communication skills in English and French are crucial for the role (reading, writing and speaking)
A degree in computer science or a comparable education
