The opportunity:

A Senior Technical Consultant performs the technical leadership role in projects with customers and partners. The Open Text product knowledge and infrastructure knowledge enable the Senior Consultant to design and successfully implement the solution architecture for the customer. Senior Consultants will possess a mix of strong interpersonal and communication skills, a solid technical and consulting background, an awareness and ability to provide input into commercial discussions, the preparation and review of customer facing proposals and proven ability to mentor and grow team members. Senior Consultants lead the technical implementation of Open Text solutions.

You are great at:

• Implementation of OpenText software for our customers
• Engage with key stakeholders, project managers, technical consultants and IT personnel
• Assist in requirements gathering activities
• Support customers with implementing and/or improving their solutions
• Involved in the design and deliverance of enterprise level solutions using the OpenText product family across many industry verticals including finance, manufacturing, public sector and commercial
• Capable of working on complex OpenText projects while being client focused
• Analyse customer's business requirements, and objectives and capable to transform them into technical solutions
• Implementation of OpenText solutions
• Provide solution management/leadership on assigned projects
• Consult customers in “Go Live” scenarios
• Estimate time frames and resource expertise required and develop a project plan
• Performance optimization, testing and tuning
• Responsible for managing customer satisfaction of the technical solution

What it takes:

• Education in computer science or equivalent experience
• Excellent personal and written communication skills required
• Great soft skills, being comfortable with new acquaintances and organizations
• A willingness to be part of a team, learning the job specifics both from colleagues and from internal training courses as well
• Open minded and adaptable towards colleagues, customers and situations
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills required
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Experience with basic SQL programming and understanding thereof
• At least basic understanding of common protocols in IP-networks
• Understanding and interest of programming of some or several of the most common programing languages is useful (JavaScript, JAVA, C-like programming, .NET suite, WEB or other)
• Relational database experience and a strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server as well as Oracle 10g+
• Windows Server skills - XP, Windows 2000 onwards, Windows 2008 Server
• Windows Server Administration Skills
• Working knowledge of Unix would be an advantage
