As Global Program Manager, you will be Responsible for planning & execution of new product development programs from inception through market introduction, coordinating the maintenance activities and cost side of the cloud operations, i.e. monitoring, reporting and improvement of the cost position.
This position is approximately 50% Program Management and 50% Technical Project Management. The selected candidate will be responsible for technical Project Management and Global Program Management
You are great at:

Planning - Lead and manage establishment of realistic and comprehensive plans for new product development and deployment.
Drive Program Execution - Provide strong leadership to cross functional teams with uncompromising drive to meet program targets.
Risk & Opportunity Management - Pro-active management of risks and opportunities ensuring that appropriate actions are planned and executed for risk mitigation and opportunity achievement.
Organizational Engagement - Engages all levels of Management across the organization by exception to resolve resource conflicts, remove roadblocks, & implement risk mitigations.
Reporting / monitoring:
Create regular reports on infrastructure cost (history and forecast) and profitability
Support stakeholder w cost information, e.g. for contract proposals
Check incoming infrastructure cost invoices of monthly ~$750K
Support vendor management, e.g. when negotiating contract renewals
Responsibility / facilitator for infrastructure cost reduction projects, e.g. purchase of AWS Reserved Instances
Find new opportunities to save infrastructure costs and take ownership of their implementation
Program Status - Focal for reporting status of programs at various levels of the organization.
Having good technical and engineering skills to coordinate and drive conclusions on the technical topics, plan, execute and deliver solutions.
What it takes:
Strong analytical mindset to easily understand and create regular financial / cost
10 to 14 Years related experience, of which at least 5 years in development and/or testing.
Experience in Agile methodologies
Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external customers at all organizational levels
Ability to effectively lead, manage, and energize cross-functional teams across multiple sites
Ability to quickly assess unclear, complex, and ambiguous situations and reduce into distinct, clear, timely, and stable direction for the development team
Negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups; settle differences with minimum noise; win concessions without damaging relationships; be both direct and forceful as well as diplomatic; gains trust quickly of other parties; has a good sense of timing
Excellent problem solving skills reports
Technical savvy to understand technical mechanics behind the pure financial numbers
Strong communication skills to connect inside OpenText with Operations, Software Development and Finance team + being able to moderate meetings w (senior) management audience
High level thoroughness as information that the individual will provide will be used to make business decisions
Ability to work autonomously as employee will work as a staff function (will not be embedded into team that works on the same topic)
Open-minded and curious to find new opportunities to analyze and optimize new aspects of our setup
High level of assertiveness as advocate for cost side of our setup
Software development background to support and improve existing scripts, e.g. in VBScript, JRuby, Node.js
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with Atlassian Confluence preferred
Experience with OpenText Axcelerate, CORE and ADP preferred
