The opportunity:

As a Senior Business Consultant in the Life Sciences Professional Services team you will work closely together with other Professional Service Consultants in the delivery of OpenText Life Sciences engagements and be responsible for acting as the Subject Matter Expert when scoping out new client projects, as well as with the Account Executives, Technical Consultants, and Strategic Partners throughout the sales and delivery cycles. The Business Consultant will provide functional thought leadership, analyze complex customer content and information requirements, and propose OpenText Life Sciences solutions which may incorporate the whole OpenText product and solution portfolio.

The Senior Business Consultant is a Professional Services consultant position that requires coordination of both functional pre-sales activities around definition of the scope and effort, implementation and deployment of the proposed solution as well as troubleshooting of customer implementations. Activities include delivering solutions and value presentations to a mixed audience of technical, business, operations, and management staff; providing functional leadership on the structure, implementation and delivery of projects, brainstorming sessions with clients on using various OpenText technologies and Life Sciences solution offerings in combination with industry solutions to solve real-world problems and setting internal standards and best practices for consistent and high quality project delivery.

This position can be based in either of our offices located in Munich, Frankfurt or Hamburg.

You are great at:

•Timely and quality delivery of project deliverables in accordance with the project’s schedule and timeline under the direction of the project manager.
•Planning, scheduling activities and managing deliverables to completion
•Assisting in the development proposals for the Professional Services engagement
•Developing a plan and schedule with the project manager and customer for optimum delivery of the project, which will ensure integration of OpenText’s Life Sciences solutions and other OpenText products with the customer’s existing IS system and application software
•Maintaining progress reviews of project tasks and team member assignments
•Ensuring that appropriate reports are written for all the appropriate deliverables
•Contributing to the ongoing promotion of the OpenText Life Sciences offerings by providing relevant content for blogs and RFP responses
•Providing suggested enhancements to the Life Sciences Product Management team based on customer feedback and industry trends
•Attending new business meetings with the business development team to act as the subject matter expert as needed
•Developing new client engagements through your personal network as well as targeted client companies
•Monitoring changes to global Regulatory Mandates from the various regulatory authorities (FDA, EMA, JMHLW, etc.)
•Participating in speaking opportunities to promote the OpenText Life Sciences Professional Services and Solutions Capabilities

What it takes:

•University degree in computer science, informatics or comparable education in IT or information management.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:

◦Quality Assurance/Systems
◦Quality and Manufacturing
◦Compliance and Validation
◦Regulatory Information Management (RIM)
◦Regulatory Affairs

•Strong industry experience in Life Sciences using OpenText Documentum for Life Sciences Solutions and other Information Management solutions
•Strong team member that excels at bridging the gap of communication from the functional to the technical
•Independent, confident self-starter able to work with minimal direct supervision
•Strong understanding of Enterprise Content Management Solutions and associated business processes
•Exceptional knowledge and expertise in business process development and change management
•Highly motivated and ethical
•Goal oriented to achieve business objectives
•Strong writing and presentation capabilities
•Business fluent in spoken and written German and English
•Significant business travel will be required
