As a Business Consultant in the Life Sciences Professional Services team you will work closely together with other Professional Service Consultants in the delivery of OpenText Life Sciences engagements and be responsible for acting as the Subject Matter Expert when scoping out new client projects. The Business Consultant will provide functional thought leadership, analyze customer content and information requirements, and propose OpenText Life Sciences solutions.
The Business Consultant is a Professional Services consultant position that will have responsibility for moderating and steering the process to clarify the functional and technical requirements together with our customers, analyze technical environments and develop best practice implementations for our solutions.
Activities include delivering solutions and value presentations to a mixed audience of technical, business, operations, and management staff; providing functional leadership on the structure, implementation and delivery of projects to solve real-world problems and setting internal standards and best practices for consistent and high quality project delivery.
This position can be based in either of our offices located in Munich, Frankfurt or Hamburg.
You are great at:
•Timely and quality delivery of project deliverables in accordance with the project’s schedule and timeline under the direction of the project manager.
•Assisting in the development proposals for the Professional Services engagement
•Developing a plan and schedule with the project manager and customer for optimum delivery of the project, which will ensure integration of OpenText’s Life Sciences solutions and other OpenText products with the customer’s existing IS system and application software
•Ensuring that appropriate reports are written for all the appropriate deliverables
•Providing suggested enhancements to the Life Sciences Product Management team based on customer feedback and industry trends
•Attending new business meetings with the business development team to act as the subject matter expert as needed
•Monitoring changes to global Regulatory Mandates from the various regulatory authorities (FDA, EMA, JMHLW, etc.)
What it takes:
•You have a university/college degree, ideally in computer science or business administration
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in one or more of the following:
◦Quality and Manufacturing
◦Compliance and Validation
◦Regulatory Information Management (RIM)
•Industry experience in Life Sciences using OpenText Documentum for Life Sciences Solutions and other Information Management solutions
•Team member that excels at bridging the gap of communication from the functional to the technical
•Independent, confident self-starter able to work with minimal direct supervision
•Strong understanding of Enterprise Content Management Solutions and associated business processes
•Strong knowledge and expertise in business process development and change management
•Highly motivated and ethical
•Goal oriented to achieve business objectives
•Strong writing and presentation capabilities
•Business fluent in spoken and written German and English
•Significant business travel will be required
