As a Senior Manager of VaAS team you will be responsible for leading, managing and developing and delivering all Strategic intiatives for Automating Virtual Platform Hosting in OpenText Cloud. As a part of Leadership team you will formulate the vision for the team jointly with ELT and drive it to success.
The ideal candidate must be a Leader who can build / grow/ manage high performing teams that can scale up and deliver any challenges. Must have been into Enterprise Product Development and successfully managed E2E product deliveries.
You are great at:
Architecting / Designing and delivering highly scalable Enterprise Products with diverse technology background.
Drive best practices and ensure development of high quality solutions/technologies through advocating for and ensuring standards for common assets and framework components
Determine the right technology choices (upgrade decisions, hosting decision) to best delivery business value keeping in mind availability, scalability and reliability of solution.
Build and manage a team of high caliber <insert role specific if applicable> engineers and inform on resource allocation strategy.
Drive resolution of technology roadblocks including code, infrastructure, build and deployment and accountable by working with business owners for meeting delivery dates
Guide product team(s) as appropriate, manage cross-product technical dependencies and drive resolutions to conflicts or remove barriers for the product team(s)
Advocate for and ensure standards around technologies, frameworks, design patterns, processes and guiding values of the domain architecture
Ensure all solutions/technologies adheres to all development & security standards
Extensive technical knowledge and background, plus additional role-specific technical skills as required including Java/J2EE / DataStructures / RDBMS
Extensive knowledge on Virtualization and Cloud
Proven leader with extensive internal and external stake holder management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of audiences
Team-orientated, passionate about developing others’ skills and capabilities
Deep understanding of agile development processes and methodology
Knowledge of Agile and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices
Strong sense of ownership and problem solving skills
What it takes:
Bachelor's degree (B.E.) from a four-year college or university
Minimum 12 years of Enterprise Product Development and Delivery
At least 6 years’ experience managing teams
Proven ability to lead multiple teams that successfully delivered high performing products
Familiarity with industry trends, standards, and future technology directives.
Detailed knowledge of key human resources topics including recruiting, employment law, compensation, and basic skills in performance management and employee development
Previous experience managing multiple simultaneous priorities

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in strategic planning, envisioning and execution.
Demonstrated process improvement experience - documentation (process flows/narratives), assessment and implementation.
Experience in writing and/or reviewing technical requirements for systems development and enhancements.
Must possess outstanding team building, client relations, and interpersonal skills with the ability to approach projects and work with collaboration and a consensus building approach across all departments.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, facilitative and consulting skills.
