As a Principal SME/Consultant in the Life Sciences Professional Services team you will work closely together with other Professional Service Consultants in the delivery of OpenText Life Sciences engagements and be responsible for acting as the Subject Matter Expert when scoping out new client projects, as well as with the Account Executives, Technical Consultants, and Strategic Partners throughout the sales and delivery cycles. The Principal SME/Consultant will provide functional thought leadership, analyze complex customer content and information requirements, and propose OpenText Life Sciences solutions which may incorporate the whole OpenText product and solution portfolio.
The Principal Consultant is a Professional Services consultant position that requires coordination of both functional pre-sales activities around definition of the scope and effort, implementation and deployment of the proposed solution as well as troubleshooting of customer implementations. Activities include delivering solutions and value presentations to a mixed audience of technical, business, operations, and management staff; providing functional leadership on the structure, implementation and delivery of projects, providing functional guidance during the sales cycle, brainstorming sessions with clients on using various OpenText technologies and Life Sciences solution offerings in combination with industry solutions to solve real-world problems and setting internal standards and best practices for consistent and high quality project delivery. This role may also serve as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.
