The SAP Business Development Manager, Japan (BDM) is a senior level position accountable for management and development of the relationship between Open Text and SAP within Japan. Based in Tokyo reporting to the Vice President of Alliances for Asia Pacific & Japan, this role will carry an annual overlay sales revenue quota for OpenText SAP Product revenue within Japan.
This role will be expected to develop and manage relationships across all levels of SAP and it’s partner community. The role requires heavy collaboration with the SAP field sales organization to create partnering opportunities for joint sales activity and engagements. You will work with the OpenText Management Team, Account Executives, Solution Consultants and others that are responsible for customer sales and satisfaction.
Implement a regional Business Plan to attain pipeline and revenue goals for the region with SAP. Manage relations and interface with senior partner stakeholders to create high-value, field-level relationships that ensure adequate pipeline to meet revenue goals. Evangelise the OpenText solution portfolio so that:
The SAP field understand the value of reselling, consulting and implementing the solutions. Invests in support of driving OpenText revenue centred on OpenText solutions.
Support SAP & OpenText Account Executives to evaluate and diagnose customer requirements to qualify opportunity fit for Open Text’s suite of SAP solutions
Monitor and manage pipeline and revenue plan progress to ensure attainment of revenue goals and meet reporting deadlines.
You are great at:
- Developing and managing partner relationships together with driving sales results in Japan.
- Working in an overlay license quota carrying function (the candidate will have a history of strong sales experience in the channels & alliances arena)
- Driving/ liaising with license sales teams at SAP or other large ERP vendors and related markets
- Working with key Global Partners (Big 4 Consulting)
