The Opportunity:

The Solutions Consultant position is instrumental in implementing, designing and supporting enterprise-level and cloud solutions with OpenText and Microsoft products for commercial and end-user applications. This position requires strong collaboration with Sales, partners, and customers and will be working with multiple platforms, tools and a variety of OpenText Cloud solutions and on-premise technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who strive to solve real-life business and technology problems through implementation of enterprise software, cloud solutions (SaaS/PaaS), and enjoy acquiring hands-on skills and experience with new technologies.

You are great at:

 • Leading design, installation, testing, and supporting of OpenText products (RightFax, EasyLink/Xpedite Fax2Mail/cloud fax solutions, Alchemy, OpenText Capture Center, B2B EDI, Developer Support) implementations based on customer’s requirements.
• Working with users to formulate and document business requirements. Identify, investigate, and analyze business processes, procedures and work practices. Identify and evaluate inefficiencies and recommend optimal business practices, and system functionality and behavior.
• Developing implementation requirements, acceptance criteria, and generating Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Taking responsibility for deploying functional solutions, such as to create, adopt and implement system test plans, and to ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system.
• Creating user and training documentation, and conduct formal training classes.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior consultants, as appropriate.
• Some travel may be necessary – up to 10-20% travel may be required.

What it takes:

• Seven years of systems implementation and support experience within an enterprise software company.
• Five years of hands-on implementation experience with Microsoft technologies (AD, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server, Windows Server technologies) and enterprise cloud technologies (Azure, Office 365, etc.)
• Five years of business analytics and enterprise software/solution implementation experience.
• Prior experience or exposure to .NET software/solution development or development support desired.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.

Technical and Functional Skills Required: 

• Expert knowledge with OpenText enterprise fax and messaging products/solutions strongly desired.
• Expert knowledge with networking and telco (VoIP/FoIP) infrastructure.
• Expert knowledge with cloud implementation, and systems implementation and troubleshooting with Microsoft platform.
• Solid understanding of Windows (client/server), Java, latest cloud technologies and SQL/database development.
• Prior experience implementing and supporting business software and enterprise solutions.
• Demonstrated project management skills and solid technical documentation skills required.

• Exceptional problem solver and able to make key technical/project decisions leading to positive project outcomes.
• Flexibility with work hours; able to lead/participate in projects primarily in EST time zone.
• Self starter; ability to work independently as well as in group settings with minimum supervision; be a strong contributor within a team environment. Provide technical mentorship to other team members and guidance to external team members as needed.
