The Opportunity: 

As part of Open Text’s dynamic Field Enablement team, the Field Enablement Sales Trainer/Coach will be a key member of the global Field Enablement team with major duties including but not limited to management and execution of established programs, sales training and sales coaching to ensure learning application of knowledge and skills as well as expanding established programs to new and diverse user groups with the APAC region
Responsibilities also include creation and management of Field Enablement communications, program management and reporting.  The incumbent will be extremely organized, able to work in a highly energetic environment, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to complete a range of work from operational coordination to program design and implementation.

We are looking for a strong business-savvy Sales Enablement Coach who will provide extensive support to the sales teams in different business units across the region to support the decrease in ramp time for our sales new hires and be critical in supporting sales performance. 

The successful candidate has experience running sales training programs through its entire lifecycle, and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is at ease in interacting with field operations teams as well as senior management. The Sales Enablement Trainer/Coach is a high-energy individual with a great appetite to learn and deploy new skills. S/he is highly motivated to excel, well organized and possesses outstanding skills in communicating business and functional benefits

You are great at:
  • Under limited direction buildBield audiences (such as Sales, Sales Management and/or Solutions Consultants) from effective new hire onboarding to continued skills development
  • Partnering with appropriate business leaders and customer stakeholders to identify training needs and support design, develop and implement a variety of high-quality programs to meet the field’s needs.
  • Working with the Global Field Enablement team and sales operations to understand overall program objectives, process, roadmaps, and timelines as well as key sales performance/program metrics and reporting
  • Analyze metrics and utilize data to ensure program quality, impact and sales effectiveness, communicating outcomes and recommendations for improvement to senior stakeholders and field enablement management (participation, impact to sales pipeline and overall sales performance etc.) 
  • Delivering sales training and coaching using a variety of instructional techniques, delivery methods, including class room based and virtual learning; making adjustments where necessary to fit the local market, priorities and culture. 
  • Manage deal clinic and deal coaching for sales account executives and sales management aligned to the sales process and customer buyers journey from prospecting through to close
  • Supporting virtual learning programs, and eLearning modules, reviewing content to ensure relevancy and quality in delivery.  Facilitate live sessions engaging the audience in a variety of ways incorporating social learning practices. 
  • Leveraging practices already in place enhance our new hire onboarding program for regional audiences and act as a resource to new hires in orienting them to Open Text corporate, sales and partner resources.
  • Working closely with the Field Enablement Delivery Operations team and other available resources, including external vendors to ensure training workshops are effectively executed , including but not limited to management and review of content and context for the learning program, managing to budget, providing direction on location selection, manage communications and obtaining, finalizing and publishing learning content.

What it takes:

  • Two or more years in sales/solution consulting or sales training experience in a high technology/software company 
  • Two or more years with Field Sales Enablement/Sales Readiness implementation experience
  • Experience in facilitating, training and coaching sales professionals around key sales disciplines 
  • Demonstrated understanding of sales CRM systems, sales processes and sales methodologies (value/solution selling, customer buyer journey etc.)
  • Ability to engage with people, influence and persuade (Internally and externally) up to Senior VP level
  • Fluency in speaking and writing in English required, articulate, with ability to speak in other regional languages relevant to the APAC geography
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Power Point, some knowledge of basic HTML, layout, design and print
