The opportunity:

This role can be based anywhere in EMEA preferably in an OpenText office but remote working is also a possibility.

The Senior Solutions Consultant position is instrumental in implementing, designing and supporting cloud and enterprise-level solutions with OpenText and Microsoft products for commercial and end-user applications. This position requires strong collaboration with sales, partners, and customers; and will be working with multiple platforms, tools and a variety of OpenText cloud solutions and on-premise technologies. You are great at:

Lead large-scale enterprise system implementations involving one or multiple OpenText products and technologies, including business workflow and capture-related solutions, and to ensure successful, on-time delivery.

Lead design, installation, testing and supporting of OpenText products (e.g. EasyLink/Xpedite Fax2Mail/cloud fax solutions, RightFax, Alchemy, OpenText Cloud Capture/Capture Center, B2B EDI) implementations based on customer’s requirements and OpenText projects/resourcing needs.

Work with users to formulate and document business requirements. Identify, investigate, and analyze business processes, procedures and work practices. Identify and evaluate inefficiencies and recommend optimal business practices, and system functionality and behavior. Develop implementation requirements, functional specs, acceptance criteria, and generating Statements of Work (SOWs).

Provide technical and project leadership in the design and architecture of OpenText solutions.

Take responsibility for deploying functional solutions, such as to create, adopt and implement system test plans, and to ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system. Create user and training documentation, and conduct formal training classes.

Use project management methodologies, principles and techniques to develop project plans and to cost, resource and manage projects.
Assist and drive programs focusing on strategic application/technology alliance with OpenText products and integration partners program.

Participates in general consultation, technical sales support and project management activities.

Provide excellent presales and post-sales support and managed services for customers and partners, as needed.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior consultants, as appropriate.

Travel will be needed – up to 25%-30% travel across EMEA may be required

Location: France, Germany, UK, Ireland, Italy or Netherlands.

What it takes:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience required.

Expert knowledge with cloud implementation, and systems implementation and troubleshooting with Microsoft platform.

Demonstrated technology leadership and project management skills and solid technical documentation skills required.

Expert knowledge with networking and telco (VoIP/FoIP/CUCM) infrastructure.

Solid understanding of Windows (client/server), latest cloud technologies and SQL/database development.

5-7 years of experience in Professional Services, Consulting, systems implementation/systems engineering and support experience within an enterprise software company/IT department.

5-7 years of hands-on implementation experience with Microsoft technologies (AD, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server, Windows Servers technologies) and/or enterprise cloud technologies (Azure, Office 365, etc.)

5-7 years of business analytics and enterprise software/solution implementation experience required.

Language skills English/French

Knowledge with OpenText enterprise fax and messaging products/solutions strongly desired.

Familiarity with B2B EDI, cloud services and enterprise content management systems desired.

Behavioral Skills and Competencies Required:

Customer service focused enjoys interfacing with customers on a regular basis (phone and in-person).

Demonstrates project leadership for a variety of professional service engagements and initiatives..

Flexibility with work hours to be able to participate in projects in US and APAC time zones, as necessary.
