The role is to effectively create, execute test cases and report test results for assigned functionalities, in a timely and accurate manner in one or more concurrent projects. He shall also be responsible for identifying possible root causes of defects.
Create/update and execute test cases, prepare/input test data, and write expected results according to specifications
Perform necessary test to validate fixes (i.e. defect verification, regression testing)
Record issues in defect management tool
Participate in peer review of test cases or test script for assigned functionalities
Participate in post mortem activity and root cause analysis
Participate/work with the Development Team to resolve issues
Prepare required project reports
Inform the project or team leader test results, risks or issues that may affect the project schedule and quality of the application
Conduct and/or participate in training sessions such as defect prevention, application knowledge transfer, QA processes and others (ex. brown bag sessions, information sharing, etc.)
Review and analyze Customer Acceptance test results
Recommend suggestions or process improvements
Handle multiple projects
Automate/learn to automate test scripts
