The Opportunity:


The role is composed of analyzing requirements, creating test cases or scenarios, executing test plans, and evaluating the results.


You are great at:


  • Obtain requirements and/or internal design specifications, customer IDs, trading partner’s profiles, conversion tables, input and output files, release instructions, development codes and other available/necessary information to understand and run the project or the map.
  • Determine the budget or the map type classification and how it might impact the scope and limitations of tests.
  • Recognize project-related personnel and their responsibilities, reporting requirements, required standards and processes (such as release processes, change processes, etc.)
  • Establish test environment requirements (script configuration, versions, system files, etc.)
  • Determine test ware requirements (automation tools, checklist, problem/bug tracking, etc.)
  • Coordinate requirement issues to analysts or test environment or test ware requirements to the project or team lead.
  • Study common and/or unique issues/defects and research ways on how it will be avoided or improved.
  • Document and provide training on QA processes, methods and tools.
  • Consistently create test cases/scenarios and write expected output according to specifications
  • Form test files according to the test cases/scenarios
  • Run tests or perform black box functional testing
  • Verify generated output vs. expected output.
  • Evaluate and report the results to developers
  • Validate other map/project components (readme, map documentation, blue book, TP profile, etc) according to QA checklist/process
  • Track problems/bugs and fixes
  • Track projects/maps and log in QA queue in a timely manner.

What it takes:

  • Educational Requirement:  IT Professional or Computer Science degree or equivalent experience with programming
  • 1 to 3 years exposure on Quality Assurance on Software Business Application development
  • Sufficient knowledge to analyze Business Requirements for software projects, and testing methodologies
  • Proficient in using tools like HPQC, JIRA, and other testing tools
  • Proficient in developing detailed software test plans
  • Above average interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Sufficient knowledge of EDI and Supply Chain Fundamentals
  • Sufficient knowledge of EDI standards (EDIFIECTS, ANSI X12, SAP IDOC, XML, Rosettanet, etc.)
  • Sufficient knowledge to perform AI development and other programming language such as Unix, C/ C++
  • Proficient on MS Excel, Word and other MS Office applications
  • Must be analytical
  • Must be able to maintain enthusiasm of their team and promote a positive atmosphere, despite what is a somewhat 'negative' process (e.g., looking for or preventing problems)
  • Must be willing to be on-call beyond normal working hours and on holidays or weekends
  • Must be willing to work on different shifts especially night shift
  • Possess effective time management skills
  • Good communication skills to communicate well with technical & non-technical people, analysts, developers, managers and as well as with customers.
  • Ability to recommend improvements in QA processes
  • Ability to enforce QA processes
  • Ability to promote teamwork to increase productivity
