The Opportunity: 

We are looking for experienced Software QA Engineers to join the OpenText Exstream Product Development organization. In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to either our highly successful Customer Communication Management suite of software or some of our new cloud-based products that will be released to the marketplace over the next few months. SQA engineers use their program coding and testing skills to engage across the entire software lifecycle of these products—from design, to development, and through release—using a variety of languages.

You are great at: 

Responsibilities (Tester)

Responsible for testing (functional / system integration) including environment setup and configuration.
Responsible for test planning and design, bug tracking, test reporting and improvement.
Responsible for developing testing tools such as data generation tool.
Responsible for investigation of testing issues.
Communicate with development and automation teams to improve the quality of testing.
Identify and log software defects

Responsibilities (Scripter)

Responsible for doing technical research for common testing tools and using them in testing.
Responsible for investigation of testing issues.
Communicate with development and QA teams to improve the quality of testing.
This individual will research, develop, and adopt best test technologies for the domain. Experience with design and execution of test scripts and harnesses using scripting tools will be an asset.
Design, code, and maintain detailed test automation scripts and test harnesses which exercise the full functionality of HP Exstream
Design extensible test harness for easy modification, scalability, and usability
Identify and log software defects



What it takes: 

Knowledge and Skills – Required 

Technical Bachelor’s Degree
Track record of delivering quality software development projects to spec and on time using repeatable development processes
Strong proficiency in at least one common development language (C/C++, Java, .Net, Python)
Experience in test requirement analysis, test scenario design and implementation.
Excellent communication skills

Knowledge and Skills – Preferred 

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or closely related field
Experience using the following testing tools  
o Jira- (issue tracking product)
o Quick Test Professional (QTP)
o Ranorex
o Selenium
Experience with multiple platforms (Unix, Z/OS, Windows, DB2, SQL Server)
Experience with SCRUM
