The IT Senior Software Licensing Analyst is responsible for administering the IT inventory and asset management system at Opentext. In addition, they will help to drive planning and execution of all Software Asset Management (SAM) across the business units Monitors and reconciles changes in inventory and performs spot checks to ensure process and system quality.#LI-POST
You are great at:
Supports the Asset Management Lead or Manager in the execution of the SACM Processes and Policies.
Acts independently based on process guidance and direction from the Asset Management Lead and Asset Manager. Specific Process examples include the following:
Interpret and maintain an accurate inventory of Software contracts, entitlements and inventory information associated with the Software Assets
Interpret and maintain an accurate Hardware inventory, Support Contracts, Ownership, entitlement and inventory information associated with the Infrastructure and Personal Commuting Assets
Coordinate, analyze and prepare reports/presentations focused on software license positions/usage, compliance inquiries.
Coordinate, analyze and prepare reports/presentations focused on Hardware Inventory, allocation for ownership, usage and compliance inquiries.
Establish and monitor process controls supporting the Software and Hardware Asset management processes and associated sub processes.
Establishing strong working relationships with Vendor Management and internal IT technology teams supporting the overall Software and Hardware Asset lifecycle.
Asset Management Reporting: Produce and respond to compliance reports.
Provide expertise in ensuring that software license contracts and agreements, software licenses and software installations and associated linkages are reflected correctly in the ITAM / Software; ensure that software license records are linked to the correct hardware device
Provide installation and license compliance status reports to management, Procurement team and end users (as needed)

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent 5+ years’ broad IT experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of IT Asset Management concepts and practices.
Knowledge of common Asset Management Repository and or similar tools
Ability to document requirements and assist in developing or changing the Asset Management Plan
5+ years’ broad IT experience
3+ years’ experience working within a software and hardware asset management program within a large enterprise
Proven experience managing software license models, contracts, entitlements across major software vendors NOTE: Significant focus on Oracle, IBM, Microsoft software.
Strong Analytic skills
Ability to perform data analysis working across multiple application and database systems
Proven experience working with IT Asset Management and Discovery technologies supporting Software and Hardware Asset Management
