The Opportunity:

Do you have an outgoing personality? Are you enthusiastic about your work? If so, GXS may be the perfect company for you. GXS is currently seeking a front desk receptionist. The receptionist will have great phone presence to respond to our callers. The Receptionist will greet GXS staff and visitors at the dedicated building entry point. Additionally, the receptionist is responsible for ensuring that appropriate security regulations are followed to include providing temporary badges, contacting appropriate staff to escort guests and assist guests with transportation if appropriate.
 

You are great at:

  • Ensuring the highest level of customer service is given to callers, staff and visitors. This requires having a good understanding of the company and its different departments, as well as the responsibilities of those working in those departments.
  • Answering the main/multi-line telephone system and routing calls to the appropriate staff.

  • Warmly greeting and directing all visitors, including vendors, clients, candidates, and staff.

  • Handling mail and FedEx packages (requires logging each package).

  • Typing correspondence, filing, copying, data entry, word processing, sending and receiving faxes, sorting mail and other administrative tasks as assigned.

  • Working fulltime; hours are from 8 am to 6 pm.

  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills

  • Ability to multi-task and under function under stressful situations

  • Excellent documentation and written/verbal communication skills

  • Organized and ble to prioritize calls and vistors in a fast paced setting


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other related field

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite


Industry Experience:

  • Experience working in a technology related company

  • Experience working in a multi-cultural company
