We are looking for a Senior Solutions Consultant to strengthen our Central European Large Accounts sales team. You will lead a matrix task force comprised of professional services, after-sales support, operations and engineering resources in order to provide expert pre-sales support and B2B advice to our largest customers. Combining both on-site and remote work, you will help our strategic customers to
Understand how the Business Network services portfolio supports their businesses
Determine ROI for specific projects and B2B transformation initiatives
Architect hybrid solutions combining on-premises customer software (ERP, BW, etc) with OpenText cloud technologies
Examine emerging technologies like analytics, big data, blockchain and IoT for B2B supply chains
Evangelise OpenText technologies and services to different business units
Scope transformation and migration projects hand-in-hand with our professional services teams
Cement the long-lasting relationship inimical to Managed Services for B2B customers

You will work in a team of experienced professionals focused on 1-2 large customers. This team includes an Account Director, Customer Manager, Programme Manager and Delivery Manager, who are dedicated to the continued success of our customers.

The ideal Senior Solutions Consulting candidate should have/be
A broad educational background with university degree (BA, BS)
Well-versed in working in matrix organisations
Experience in working outside of your home country and native language
Experience with selling to and/or working with large/multinational accounts and their associated complexity
Able to work at both 0 meters (file the flight plan) and 10,000 meters (fly the plane) – landing the plane optional but a plus
A strong innovation perception and novelty bias for new technologies
Practical supply chain management experience on buy or sell side, product or category management a plus
Experience working in or selling to or consulting for CPG and FMCG companies
A history of (successfully) fostering change management and technology adoption
Creativity in applying existing technologies to new problems, and new technologies to coming problems

A typical week for you would entail
Status meetings both with customers and internally on existing and new projects
On-site discussions with customer stakeholders on innovations and strategic/tactical planning
Alignment of priorities for coming weeks and months
Architecture discussions with professional services and engineering on new initiatives at our customer
Exploration of new technologies, both from OpenText and externally, and how they can benefit our customer
Informal meetings with your peers in Solutions Consulting to learn best practices from other customers
Supporting your account team on scoping and costing new projects
Working through defined processes for costing, architecture, and custom development approval

What it takes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in a solution selling \ value based selling environment.
  • Working technical knowledge of HTML/CSS, JSP, ASP, Web Servers, Unix, Windows, VMWare virtualized platforms, Java Application Servers and relational databases. 
  • Deep level of understanding of IT concepts e.g. SOA, client server, protocols. 
  • Solid skill level in at least one product area of Enterprise Information Management. 
  • Working knowledge of Cloud computing strategies, business models, and issues.
  • Full fluency in German with the ability to travel throughout Europe
