The Opportunity:

This position requires excellent Unix system and Application administration skills, and it will be an advantage to have exposure to programming domains (scripting languages, C, C++, EJB, Java/J2EE).

You are great at: 

Experience with Weblogic, Webmethods, Tomcat, FuseMQ in a Linux environment is highly desired.

What it takes: 


  • 5-8 years of Unix/Linux system administration experience
  • Experience deploying and supporting commercial/production Applications
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle and deployments into hosting services
  • Experience with J2EE servers/servlet engines. Weblogic 10g, Weblogic 11g, Tomcat Containers
  • Worked in Highly Available service setups and Cluster configurations on the middleware 
  • Experience in using Ansible, Blade Logic, CHEF or other automation tools
  • Proficiency in writing scripts (bash, ksh, perl, Expect, AWK, Python is a plus)
  • Must be familiar with Internet protocols (DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL, SML, FTP, SFTP, SSH)
  • Experienced supporting customer applications in a commercial environment.
  • Must have excellent trouble shooting skills and experience isolating/resolving highly complex issues
  • Disciplined at developing and maintaining detailed documentation of work
  • Ability to work independently and participate as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Organized and able to prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced setting
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Must be willing to participate in 24x7 on-call production support – by rotation in a team
  • Works well under pressure
  • Familiarity with load balancers, Relational Databases or Networking a plus
