The Opportunity:

  • As a Principal Software Quality Engineer, you will lead the automation team of our D2 client product on UI/API automation efforts

  • You will be part of an agile team, take on complex problems on framework development and help in increasing our UI and API automation.

  • Help in mentoring team members on training and developing with changing automation priorities.

  • Work independently on specialized assignments within the context of project/functional deliverables

  • You are expected to bring in technical innovation within your product area. 

  • Typically, you would have had 8+years of experience in developing complex UI/API automation frameworks for Web based applications.

You are great at:

  • Preparing Automation framework that can help team automate more cases and reduce cycle times of Regressions.

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to junior engineers.

  • Participates in and drives design/Review sessions in the team.

  • Drives the technical resolution of issues arising from different team members while automating UI for different browsers/OS combinations and handling dynamic objects at run time.

  • Participate & Review the automation code to ensure all required functionality is implemented and validated properly considering all the best practices.

  • Works with Functional testing team to transfer knowledge and develop the test strategy and validate the test plan

  • You have passion for:

  • High transactional volume, 24x7, mission critical, secured real-time systems

  • Operational quality and customer satisfaction

  • Drive inefficiencies from the infrastructure

  • Design and implement highly scalable and operable solutions

What it takes: 


  • Expertise in Developing UI automation framework using Selenium Web Driver and API framework for RESTFUL API’s. Exposure to BDD frameworks is desired.

  • Strong in Continuous integration (Team City, Jenkins, ANT Scripts) and agile methodology.

  • Strong working experience with web technologies including HTML5, JSON, XML, Restful API

  • Strong experience on Core Java, JavaScript, Tomcat, Apache

  • Exposure to applications built with GWT/GXT is plus.

  • Experience with Java based aspect oriented programming techniques

  • Strong / deep understanding of OO design and associated modeling tools;

  • Experience in Database design and knowledge of SQL/PLSQL (oracle)

  • Hands-on experience with building frameworks for web based enterprise applications

  • Excellent trouble-shooting skills. 

  • Experience in designing/development different automation frameworks and testing of enterprise class systems.

  • Strong communication skills - verbal, written and listening

  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements

  • Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision. 

  • Ability to work in deadline driven environment, and respond creatively to pressure. 

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. 

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering. Masters preferred.
