The Opportunity:

Under the direction of the Director of Information Protection Center (IPC), leads, guides and directs daily SOC operations.  Has Information Security operations responsibility for the implementation and management of processes and technology to protect information in our corporate environment and Commercial services offerings, in support of the company's global information security strategy. 

The role works cross-functionally to support the execution of enterprise security strategies and customized business variations while ensuring information security and compliance. The Manager of IPC must have hands-on in the trenches experience in information security operations and will be expected to understand a wide array of security processes and concepts. The preferred location for the position is either in Alpharetta, GA, Austin, TX, Brook Park, OH, New Jersey, or Waterloo, ON. Work shift will coincide with United States Eastern Time Zone Day Shift. 


You are great at: 

  • Working in a fast paced and changing environment while handling multiple tasks and directives.     
  • Developing process and procedures.
  • Prioritization the execution of the daily activities of the Security Operations team resources to consistently meet performance standards.   
  • Providing communication and security awareness material for various levels in the organization.
  • Developing training roadmaps that meet the needs of the individual an the Security Operations team requirements 
  • Supporting and/or leading for Security Incident Response  
  • Unified Threat Management (IDS/IPS Web filtering, etc.), Anti-Virus, SIEM, DDOS/DOS 
  • Threat and Vulnerability Management and Identity Access Management
  • Security Event Management, Cyber investigations, and Cyber security forensic investigations. 
  • Proactively researching existing and emerging cyber threats. Applying analytical understanding of hacker methodologies and tactics, system vulnerabilities, and key indicators of attacks and exploits.

What it takes: 


  • Proven experience in managing a Security Operations Center including management of an IAM program
  • Strong people management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of best practice standards and procedures regarding information systems application security, data security, and infrastructure security
  • Utilizing experience to analyze and synthesize information with other relevant data sources, providing guidance to analysts and operators, evaluating, interpreting, and integrating all sources of information, and fusing computer network attack analyses with available threat feed data. 
  • Must have expertise and experience in security operational services: Unified Threat Management (IDS/IPS Web filtering, etc.)  Anti-Virus, SIEM, DDOS/DOS, Threat and Vulnerability Management, Identity Access Management Security Event Management, Cyber investigations, and Cyber security forensic investigations.   
  • Must be able to lead/support Security Incident response processes and cyber security investigations  
  • Good analytic, troubleshooting and problem solvin and resourceful in knowing how to research problems and find information or documentation on related topics
  • Strong written and communication and presentation skills, and the ability to effectively relate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff 
  • Strong documentation background for developing, writing, and communicating security process and procedures 
  • Capable of working under pressure in a continually changing environment 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience preferred. CISSP, CISA, CISM, or ISSMP certifications preferred
  • 10+ years in a tactical Information security management role, security engineering, and/or security operations
  • Understanding of PCI-DSS, ISO27001, NIST, COBIT, SOC 1 (SSAE 16) and SOC 2 and information security requirements
