The Opportunity:

Want to work on something that will fundamentally change an enterprise market? How about building the next generation Contact Center Recording and Big Data Analytics platform?

This position requires an individual with strong technical and analytical skills, robust background in technology, design and architecture expertise, and excellent communication.

The OpenText WFO Software group was formerly etalk Corporation, a recognized innovator in the Workforce Optimization (WFO) space. OpenText WFO Software group introduced one of the first contact center quality monitoring systems and invented the phrase *Your call may be monitored for quality purposes-. Over the years, the group has continued to innovate including the introduction of the first contact center speech analytics system as well as patented SIP recording. Today, the software developed by this group powers some of the largest contact centers in the world.

This position will be based in Addison, Texas at the worldwide headquarters for OpenText WFO Software.


  • Create database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, Triggers etc.
  • Identify columns for Primary Keys in all the tables at the design time and create them.
  • Create functions to provide custom functionality as per the requirements.
  • Tune existing queries to reduce blocking and performance issues
  • Advanced T-SQL scripting skills
  • Participate in discussions involving the application creation and understand the requirements and provide the back-end functionality for the applications.
  • Advanced problem solving skills

What it takes: 

A technical Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

  • Expertise in at least one RDBMS platform (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle etc.), 
  • Strong ability to identify and champion the correct technology and architecture for business problems
  • Experienced and skilled in analyzing database performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning procedures
  • Scrum/Agile methodology experience

Good to have:
One MPP/columnar database (Vertica, Greenplum, RedShift, ParStream, Druid, etc.) and at least one NoSQL solution (Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB, CouchDB etc.)
