Interested in working at OpenText? Here's what to expect!

Step 1

Online Application

If you are a first time visitor to our site, your first step is to register with us. Once registered, your personal information will be available for each application you submit.

You can apply for any role using your LinkedIn profile or your CV. All information fields will be prefilled for you based on the content of your CV or profile.

Once submitted, your application will be reviewed and depending on how closely your skills and experiences meet the requirements for the role, you may be contacted by an OpenText Recruiter.

Step 2

Initial Interview with a Recruiter

Your first point of contact with OpenText will be with an OpenText Recruiter. Typically conducted over the phone, this conversation is intended to assess your suitability for a particular position at OpenText as well as provide you with an opportunity to ask questions about the role and the company. Once completed, your application and initial interview results will be submitted to the hiring manager for review.

Please note that should you require accommodation for the first or any subsequent interviews, you will need to make your OpenText Recruiter aware of your needs. The Recruiter will ensure your accommodation needs are met.

Step 3

Interview with hiring manager/team members

Should you be successful in moving forward in the process, an interview will be set up with the Hiring Manager and possibly members of his/her team. This interview is typically conducted in person, however, it may be necessary that it take place over the phone or by skype. The format of this interview varies depending on the role you are interviewing for. Your Recruiter will make you aware of any special requirements prior to the interview being conducted.

Once again please inform the Recruiter or Recruitment Coordinator of any accommodation requirements and they will ensure that your needs are met.

Step 4

Offer of Employment

If you are the selected candidate, a conditional offer of employment will be extended to you verbally. All offers at OpenText are conditional upon the successful completion of background screening.

A written letter further outlining your offer details as well as an invitation to complete your background screening will be sent to you. You will also be invited to our SmartStart site to complete all the required HR forms and a variety of material to provide you good insight into beginning your career with OpenText.

Step 5

Background Screening

All offers of employment at OpenText are conditional upon the successful completion of a background screening. Background screening is conducted globally for all new hires at OpenText.

OpenText engages a third party vendor to complete all background screening. Your consent is required prior to the process beginning.

When the background screening is successfully returned, your condition of employment will be waived.
